Our History |
|
Before
founding Progressive Printing in 1978, Phil Gray was a high
school teacher, instructing his pupils in the art of offset
printing. With Progressive Printing, he wanted to create a
brand based on responsive, smart and dependable service
while sharing his knowledge of printing with his clients,
just as he had with his students. He believed that working
closely with clients was the only way to ensure that they
got exactly what they wanted and for a price they were happy
with. He set a goal to be completely honest with them and to
always make deliveries on time.
Phil*s
strategy was a success, and with the help of his wife Terry,
Progressive Printing grew into a mid-size commercial printer
with a strong foundation of loyal customers.

time-tested process step-by-step. |

Our
Environmental Policy |
|
At
Progressive Printing, we care about the environment. We use
only soy and vegetable oil based inks.
Instead of conventional petroleum-based lithographic inks,
we minimize our emissions by using inks with 2 percent or
less VOC (volatile organic content). Not only are these inks
brighter and more vibrant than petroleum-based inks, but
they are also more easily removed from paper during the
recycling process.
We
offer both coated and uncoated recycled paper, all
containing between 15 and 100 percent post-consumer waste.
This helps to cut down on environmentally-hazardous
fertilizers stripping nutrients from soil, deforestation,
and energy expenditure at the paper mills.
We
recycle. Our paper trimmings go to a recycling company, our
useable leftover paper to public schools, and our imprinted
aluminum plates to a scrap aluminum company for recycling.
We
discard responsibly. Between our low-VOC (volatile organic
content) press washes, corrugated waste material separation,
and removal of leftover ink by a licensed hazardous
materials company, we strive to minimize our ecological
footprint. |
